Anette Norberg had to leave the “Eternal Glory” – Aftonbladet

Anna Olsson ran a cunning tactic game. This led to Anette Norberg knocked out of the “Eternal Glory”.

– It was sad not get to hang out with the other few days, says the curling star.

After the last race it was clear that ex-canoeist Anna Olsson ended up in last place in tonight’s “Eternal Glory”.

Anyone who comes last may choose any of the other participants who will receive the unwelcome invitation to night rally.

In this situation, many choose to face the competitors placed on the second to last place. With that logic ought to Anna Olsson selecting Björn Lind .

The program said the skier that he expected to undergo elimination contest. But Anette Norberg had a hunch that it would be her.

– It just feels so in the stomach, she said in the broadcast.

“Not seen as much of the program “

And indeed fell Anna Olsson’s choice of Norberg. After an even duel got curling star to leave the competition.

– I calculated that the risk of loss was greater if I would have met Bjorn, says Anna Olsson Nöjesbladet.

She continues:

– I have not seen much of the program before, so I did not reflect that I should have chosen Bjorn.

“Wanted course win”

Anette Norberg do not think Olsson’s tactic was something fulspel.

– It felt right all right to go out. I suspected it would be pretty tough physical contests the day after, so I was not too unhappy about leaving, she said.

– But as I stood there in the duel, I wanted to win, of course. One always wants to do their best in competitive situations. How much the subconscious influence is hard to say.

What do you think about that Anna Olsson did not choose Bjorn Lind, who was second last?

– The is her decision. I have no opinion on.

SVT’s Project Anders Wistbacka is the same line.

– Many people choose the one that is next to last, for they think it is most fair. But it is absolutely not all do so. The only rule is that whoever came first one is immune, but otherwise you can select anyone, he said.

Has been fighting against cancer

Anette Norberg was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 . When the filming of “Eternal Glory” was launched in September last year, she had not quite recovered after the tough treatment.

– I do not think it made it underperformed in the races. But it was tough mentally to be reminded of it constantly. I felt that I was not as strong as before, and the body is not working as well as I used to. When I go to work at home exposes, I do not get stress that reminds me of the disease, she says.

Today, feeling curling champion the circumstances.

– It’s okay. I work out and try to keep going. I have been harder to push me stamina-wise. Then I quickly tired. But the strength quite well, she says.
