Fox slopes of Billy O’Reilllys reporting – Göteborgs-Posten

The popular news anchor Billy O’Reilly claimed to have seen bombings in Ireland and murder in El Salvador. Now slopes news channel Fox News, saying that information is incorrect.

It is the Guardian stating that the channel profile presenters criticized for exaggerating their reporting. He himself has dismissed the allegation as “bullshit”.

In more than a week has defended Fox News news anchor in a broadcast said that he took part of a “raid” in Ireland. He also has a book described how he had seen “Irish terrorists kill and maim citizens with bombs.”

In addition, Billy O’Reilly claimed that he had seen four nuns murdered during the civil war in El Salvador in 1980.

The Guardian writes that Fox News, after receiving questions from the Washington Post, recognizing that their news profile not been in place at the bombings in Belfast or murder in El Salvador. In contrast, he should have seen the photos of the events.

Just a few weeks ago there was another news anchor who ended up in trouble. It was NBC’s Brian Williams, who was suspended from his job since he admitted that he lied about, among other things, the reporting of the Iraq war in 2003.
