Tove Lo threefold praised the gala – Sydsvenskan

– To feel that one has actually reached the people on the other side of the Atlantic means a lot, and it is recognized here at home is fantastic, says Tove Lo.

She remembers especially summer gig at Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee, USA, with approximately 17 000 people in the audience.

– I could stand on stage and look out and not see the end of all the people, it was such a great feeling!

According to the jury, she and Jerlström and Soderberg “captivated an entire world with his compositions, especially the songs’ Habits’ and ‘Talking Piece’, and contributed to one of the largest and most important artist’s export successes in several years. “

– It feels really really really great, she says.

Tove Lo written Ellie Gouldings “Love me like you do” together with others including Martin “Max Martin” Sandberg, who together with Johan “Shellback” Schuster praised in the categories this year’s composer and song of the year (Taylor Swift’s “Shake it off”).

Mauro Scocco was awarded the gala’s honorary prize for its “significant efforts over a long period in the Swedish music scene.” Honorary Laureate receive SEK 25 000 to donate to a “special talent”, and Mauro Scocco chose to give the sum to Viktor Olsson, who released their debut album “Stenungsund” earlier this year.
