Now says his friend, producer Naughty Boy that Zayn Malik “need time” before he can release new music and talk about his defection from One Direction, reports the BBC. He denies that they make music together right now, but says that they have done it before.

– The world will hear music when he is ready, and the fans are ready. For him it was important to just be quiet for a while and when he is ready to talk, he will do it. I think it should be respected, but can also understand why the fans were upset, says Naughty Boy told the BBC.
