So it’s sooner rather than later we will see Fast & amp; The Furious star Vin Diesel portray bald cop Theo Kojak, a role made legendary by actor Telly Savalas between 1973 and 1978. For
Screenwriter Philip Gawthorne have been recruited to the project. Gawthorne, who made a name for himself with productions such as EastEnders, Casualty and Waterloo Road, to write a new script for the film. Alongside this responsibility he is currently working on a remake of the sci-fi thriller Cube in 1997, writes Cinema Blend.
The first script for Kojakfilmen was made by Neil Purvis and Robert Wade, who co-wrote the Bond films Torrential rain and upcoming Spectre. Obviously, it was not up to standard.
The stories of Kojak set in New York. The protagonist is a bald and tough police, who are not shy away to bend the rules to get a criminal convicted. He is often seen with a lollipop in his mouth.
Kojak was revived in 2005 in a TV series with Ving Rhames in the lead role. It was however down after nine sections.
