Diggiloo premiere was canceled by strong winds.
Many visitors had to turn back home or leave the premiere place in Grebbestad and artists were shocked and sad.
– I felt how I started great bellowing, the tears just flowed, says Charlotte Perrelli to Entertainment blade.
At 18 o’clock on Saturday came the news that the organizers have chosen to set tonight’s premiere of Diggiloo tour because of a storm.
Gusts of 20 meters per second allowed the organizers to make the decision.
– safety comes before anything else. It has sparked a lot. Security around the stage and the whole thing was that we had to make the decision quite late in the day, says Patrik Krall , producer of Diggiloo.
Perrelli: “Storbölade”
The performers were charged before the premiere, and was both shocked and saddened by the news.
– It is so very sad. We’ve been down here for a week and run as hard and rehearsed so much. We were so tagged. We sat down and drew her hair, was ready made up and I sat there and painted nails. I thought it was a joke when the producer came and told me it was canceled, says Charlotte Perrelli , which adds that all performers understand that safety comes first.
After the news went artists in tears out and sang and played for a moment at the end where the visitors went home.
– We went out and would meet people and I just felt how I started great bellowing, tears flowed and I could barely sing. I was so sad and think it’s such a shame. People were sad because they did not see the show, but while there were several who said they sat in the audience and wondered how in the heck we could implement it all when it blew so hard, says Perrelli.
“Feels hopeless”
After the cancellation premiere was artists into the rehearsal room again. Even Charlotte Perrellis family was in place.
– Anders and my family had gone down with the camper so I think we put ourselves in it and go home now.
Also Jessica Andersson burst into tears at the news.
– It’s hopeless. We have worked so hard this week and seen so much forward to it, so it is clear that there will be an incredible anti-climax. You feel so much for the team who worked so hard and the crowd who had made their way here, she says.
5000 hit
The 5,000 visitors who bought tickets will have the opportunity to go on the tour in a elsewhere, or get the ticket money back. The premiere has now been postponed by a week.
– Diggiloo come to Gothenburg next Saturday and it is geographically close. So the visitors will be invited to go there or in any other city. We will let you all get information Monday about this, says Patrik Krall.
For Grebbestad will tour did not return this year.
Diggiloo tour is the thirteenth in the order. This year’s performers include Charlotte Perrelli , Helena Paparizou , Hanna Hedlund , Mollie Linden , Jessica Andersson , Martin Stenmarck , Andrew Johnson and Magnus Carlsson that visit 23 locations in Sweden.
